Lagos Set to Lead Climate Initiatives at COP30 Conference

• The Lagos State Government, led by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will participate in COP30 in Brazil to promote its 80 million Clean Cookstoves initiative, aiming for significant climate change mitigation.
• Lagos participation also highlights the four billion Tree Planting Project, the largest UNFCCC Article 6.4-approved initiative for reforestation and clean energy in Africa.
• The Office of Special Adviser on Climate Change and Circular Economy (OCCE) will focus on integrating the principles of Circular economy and Climate resilience in Lagos climate strategies.
