Three Scots Face Extradition to Canada for Manslaughter Charge in Restaurant Owner's Death

Three Scots, including Robert Evans, will be extradited to Canada for manslaughter charges related to the death of restaurant owner Sharif Rahman in Ontario.

Robert Evans, 24, faces a manslaughter charge for the death of Sharif Rahman, 44, which occurred in Ontario in August 2023.
His father, Robert Busby Evans, 47, and uncle, Barry Evans, 54, have been charged as accessories after the fact to commit an indictable offence.
The extradition was agreed upon during separate hearings at the Edinburgh Sheriff Court overseen by Sheriff Julius Kom.
